The first thing I wondered about was the speaker, and yes, it is fully detachable so it can be removed and enjoyed anytime. It doesn't have to go with the poles, but it's nice to clip onto the poles for music right up on the game.This is a pretty good set. I'm super happy with it. It's on par with other name brand priced sets, and this one comes with a blue tooth speaker that moves around and can be used anytime. It's especially handy for the firepit to have on the table while having a small gathering. It was easy to pair, too.The badminton set itself is great. It's obviously not regular quality materials, but it is perfect for a get together or family barbecue. There's no reason not to get the set. The set is super light, it actually fits back into it's carrying case, and it includes plenty to get started. I caution to get extra birdies or shuttlecocks. Two is not enough, but it's nice to be included.This came with 4 rackets, so enough to do teams and have backyard playoffs. The shuttlecocks do get caught in the rackets a bit, but I think it's just that way with any brand racket and any brand birdie. The weights of the rackets are pretty light, so we can set the net down and let the kids enjoy playing back and forth. The net as it is is just over 5' high, which can be a bit big for the kids, but with a little zip tie magic, it can be lowered. I use the bottom hook for the top of the net, and then the bottom of the net, I just zip tie with cheap zip ties to the pole. It sets it down a foot and a half for the kiddos so it's at 3.5 feet instead of 5 feet.Overall, really pleased with this setup. It's reasonably priced with all the extras. Just getting a set of rackets would be half the cost of the set. Worth getting, easy set up, easy take down. Stores away tidy and a ton of fun.
