I've purchased 3 different "Honda" 6.5 adapters. One was useless. It didn't even match the picture. The second one worked 'OK', though it was in a "shell formfactor". This one is the best so far. Nearly perfect registration of the speaker. CENTERING your aftermarket speaker to the factory location is 75% of the battle. It is also plastic FILLED, meaning you can machine/drill if needed. The adapter i'm replacing is "hollow/shell" constructed. It BARELY accepts a 144MM cut out. This limited my choice of speaker purchases. Many 6.5 speakers need 145MM-148MM cut out. You can shave this adapter to accept those larger cut outs and you don't have to pray that the "plastic boss" holding your screw will break.FYI, for any screw fastener going into plastic, use "PLASTIC THREAD FORMING" screws only!Update: DS18 Pro 6.5 Fit with no mods to the adapter. Because the NEO series were sold out, I will have to bend back a little sheet metal to accommodate the huge magne.
