The MartinLogan ML-45 speakers are a pleasant delight. The brand is strong, but I was unsure what to expect from this product. The size of the speakers were smaller than I thought, but I hooked them up anyway -- kicking the tires before decising whther I would return. I will keep these forever. The sound is crisp and clear and handles various genres of music well.These speakers are mounted under a pergola and married with a Denon AVR-E400. I also tried these speakers with pioneer AVR-823 and the sound was equally as good.My total system contains these and a pair of Speakercraft Ruckus 6 speakers and that provides adequate coverage with crisp sound. I will add a subwoofer soon -- although it's not a necessity.Five stars for the sound, the compact footprint, the ease to install, and how it blends well into the outdoor decor.
